WELCOME TO UDASC

Upper Deeside Amateur Swimming Club (UDASC) is a small swim club dedicated to the improvement of local swimmers. Run by a group of volunteers consisting of Coaching Staff, Committee Members, Qualified Technical Officials and Parent Helpers.

The club is committed to the promotion of excellence in swimming and the fostering of a sense of individual and team achievement within a competitive yet supportive, safe and fair environment. As well as the competitive aspect of the sport, the club also prides itself in providing an environment for the swimmers to establish focus, discipline and hard work ethics which prepare them for the challenges they may face later in life.

UDASC use the Deeside Community Centre and Swimming Pool which is located just off Ballater Road in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The swimming pool is operated by Aberdeenshire Council.

UDASC is also one of four clubs that belongs to South Aberdeenshire Swimming (SAS).  SAS is a joint initiative involving local swimming clubs, Aberdeenshire Council and the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association to develop swimming talent in South Aberdeenshire. There are four participating clubs, these are:

  • Banchory Beavers

  • Stonehaven

  • Upper Deeside

  • Westhill District
